Personal Tax Senior, Sunderland

A Personal Tax Senior role based in our Sunderland office. Both full time and part time considered.

Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Personal Tax team based at our Sunderland office.  Working with our Tax Manager, the role offers the opportunity to experience a wide range of personal tax matters including compliance, advisory and planning work.

Key responsibilities:

  • Management of a portfolio of clients consisting of sole traders, landlords, Directors, non-resident individuals and Trusts
  • Preparation and submission of Self-Assessment Tax Returns, 60-day Capital Gains Tax returns and P11Ds where applicable
  • Communicating tax liabilities to clients and providing the necessary information to enable them to pay their liabilities in line with relevant deadlines
  • Identifying tax planning opportunities within your portfolio and communicating these to the Partners
  • Assisting the Tax Manager and Partners with ad-hoc advisory projects
  • The ideal candidate will:
  • Have experience of managing their own portfolio of clients, within a busy accountancy practice environment
  • Have experience of all aspects of the Self-Assessment Tax Return and P11D process
  • Be ATT qualified or qualified by experience
  • Have strong technical personal tax knowledge and the ability to research and communicate technical information to both colleagues and clients
  • Have the ability to liaise with clients, resolving their queries in a timely manner.
  •  Be driven and proactive, ensuring that our commitment to providing excellent service levels to our clients is met
  • Prior knowledge of Digita Personal Tax software would be advantageous, but is not essential as full training will be provided if necessary
