One of our four Values is to be supportive – putting people at the heart of everything we do. In line with this, we help a number of charities in the region, including one in each of our office locations, suggested by our colleagues. We have made donations to the following charities for 2026.
Hebburn Helps
Our Jarrow team chose Hebburn Helps, a community food bank and crisis response team that was set up to help local families who are finding it hard and are struggling to make ends meet.
Her Circle
This year's Gosforth charity is Her Circle, an organisation that specialises in issues related to complex motherhood and women’s recovery from trauma and abuse within that area.
St Bendict's Hospice
Our chosen charity for Sunderland is St Benedict's Hospice who offer free care, advice and support for patients, and their families, who have a life limiting illness.
South Tyneside Pledge
Torgersens signed up to the South Tyneside Pledge in early 2022. The Pledge is an initiative by South Tyneside Council for local organisations and businesses to commit to taking small steps to:
- boost local economic activity
- reduce health inequalities
- reduce carbon emissions
- enhance civic pride
